Lebarge Tropical Cruises in Sarasota, FL is currently seeking a Boat Captain for a part time seasonal position for our upcoming season.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Running daily tours (up to 3 a day) for our very busy season
  • Maintaining Daily Boat Logs / Daily Money Logs and Reports / All Ships Business
  • Greeting of passengers both on and off the boat
  • Strict enforcement of all Coast Guard Safety Regulations

Boat Crew

Lebarge Tropical Cruises in Sarasota, FL offers daily dolphin watch, sightseeing and sunset cruises on beautiful Sarasota Bay. We are seeking candidates who enjoy customer service and are interested in a fast paced, fun, and “out of the ordinary” experience. Must be self-motivated, punctual, enjoy working in a team, and be capable of performing multiple tasks and duties, including some that are physically demanding, both indoor & outdoor in the elements.

  • Positions available for day and/or evening. Full and Part time.
  • Opportunity for additional $ from gratuities, Private Events and bonuses.
  • Sea Time accumulated, recorded & can be provided for your advancement in boating certifications and/or licenses.

Lebarge Tropical Cruises in Sarasota, FL serves food and offers a full bar on all cruises which are either narrated or provided with live music entertainment. We are seeking a management candidate interested in a fast paced, fun, and “out of the ordinary” experience who are self motivated, punctual & capable of performing multiple tasks and duties both indoor and outdoor in the elements.

  • Opportunity for additional $ from gratuities, bonuses and private events
  • Opportunity for additional hourly rate or salary upon demonstrating ability to perform all responsibilities at high competence level
  • Sea Time accumulated, recorded and can be provided for your advancement in boating

Reservation Desk

Lebarge Tropical Cruises in Sarasota, FL is looking for staff to work the reservation desk located in the downtown Sarasota Bay Marina. Part and/or Full Time positions available. Perfect for someone who enjoys working with the public and loves to be outdoors! Bonus pay in addition to hourly wage based on passenger count.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Handle all front desk tasks including answering phones, taking reservations in online system, managing guest check ins, promoting cruises and sharing information with visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service experience a plus
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Responsible and organized

Tour Guide / Narrator

Lebarge Tropical Cruises in Sarasota, FL is looking for one tour guide/narrator to join our team. We are located at the downtown Sarasota Marina. Perfect for someone who enjoys educating and sharing their knowledge of the flora and fauna of Sarasota Bay while providing great customer service and who loves to be outdoors! Bonus pay in addition to hourly wage based on passenger count.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Narrate/Lead Sightseeing Cruises
  • Handle all front desk tasks including answering phones, taking reservations in online system, managing guest check ins, promoting cruises and sharing information with visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in tour interpretation or traditional teaching a plus
  • Bachelors degree in Education or Science or Master Naturalist Certification a big plus.
  • Prior customer service experience a plus
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Responsible and organized
